How Should I Take My CBD?

You are currently viewing How Should I Take My CBD?

There are many different ways to take CBD. The 4 most common are sublingual (under the tongue), ingestible (capsules, edibles, beverages), inhalants (vaping, smoking), and topical (lotions, creams, salves).

The best way to take it determines on what issue you are using it for. For instance, a person who has eczema would most likely choose a lotion or cream instead of a sublingual, whereas someone with a migrane would benefit more from a sublingual or ingestible.

There is a variance for the onset and duration of effects from CBD depending on how you take it. Inhalants are the quickest, but the shortest duration. Ingestibles have the slowest onset due to the digestion process before it is absorbed, but also results in the longest duration. Sublingual is right in between. The mucus membrane of the mouth absorbs the CBD quickly. Doing so you will have a moderately quick onset, as well as longer duration from the remaining CBD that you swallow. Topical products can vary as well. When an oil carrier is used, it quickly absorbs into the skin and works fast. However, a heavier topical cream won’t absorb as quickly, and it will have a slower onset.

You may also benefit from a combination of methods to help suit your needs. Whatever method you choose there is no wrong way! We are here to help aid you in the direction which will be most effective for you!
